100% REMOTE, but must reside within the US
Work Hours:
Approx. 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM PST M-F
Salary: $85k-$105k base salary + 10% bonus + Comprehensive Benefits + 401k with 5% Match
Must have:Experience — either:
- 5+ years Commercial or Retail Property Accounting experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar + 2–3 years Commercial Property Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUPs
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Budget preparation experience
- MRI (preferred) or Yardi

Our client is seeking a hands-on Sr. Property Accountant to support a retail property in El Cajon, CA. This is a backfill opportunity due to an internal transfer, offering strong mentoring support and opportunities for advancement. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant looking to grow within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day property accounting activities in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly financials and reforecasts
- Manage cash posting and reconciliations
- Prepare budgets and CAM/pass-through reconciliations
- Oversee the Accounting Assistant
- Partner with property management and corporate accounting teams
Experience — either:
- 5+ years Commercial or Retail Property Accounting experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar + 2–3 years Commercial Property Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUPs
- Strong GAAP knowledge
