Part-Time Bookkeeper
Ergotronix designs and manufactures ergonomic lifting and material handling equipment that helps manufacturers improve safety, productivity, and efficiency. We're a small, growing company where every person makes a meaningful contribution.
The Part-Time Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting activities of the business. This role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. This is an on-site position based in Sarasota, Florida. Candidates must be able to work in person at our facility. We are not offering remote work, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship for this role.
The ideal candidate is positive, dependable, organized, and enjoys working in a collaborative small-business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable
- Enter vendor invoices and process payments
- Receive incoming inventory by reviewing packing slips and entering receipts into the system prior to invoice processing
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records in Sage 50 Quantum
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Maintain vendor files
- Support inventory and purchasing transactions as needed
- Prepare reports and provide administrative support as requested
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
Note:
Sales invoicing, accounts receivable collections, customer service, sales orders, shipping, and payroll are handled by other team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Experience with Sage 50 Quantum preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the team
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
