We are partnering with a growing CPA firm to hire an experienced Senior Tax Manager. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of tax and leading people but wants a more sustainable alternative to the traditional public accounting grind.
You'll serve as a senior technical tax resource while managing and developing a team. The right person will be technically strong, organized, good with people, and comfortable taking ownership of work from preparation through final review.
What You'll DoPerform final review of individual and business tax returns
Prepare more complex returns when needed
Review California and multi-state returns
Work extensively with S-Corporations, partnerships and individual taxation
Assist with tax planning, estimates and technical research

Strong S-Corporation, partnership, individual and multi-state tax experience

Quick Books Online experience
Ultra Tax experience is a plus
Experience working with remote or offshore professionals is a plus
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
Stable employment history
Collaborative, hands-on approach with a low-ego leadership style
This is a fully remote U.S.
-based position, but working hours are important. Candidates need to be available primarily 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time and have some flexibility when coordinating with an international team.
This firm is looking for someone who wants to remain challenged technically and continue progressing professionally without sacrificing work-life balance.
You'll have meaningful responsibility for tax quality, planning and team development while working in an environment that does not require traditional public accounting busy-season hours.
If you're a strong public accounting tax professional who enjoys being the technical resource and developing people — but you're ready for a more sustainable schedule — we'd like to hear from you.
