Tax Partner - Generalist
Elevated Hires is recruiting an experienced Tax Partner with expertise in corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth individual taxation. This direct-entry partnership opportunity offers a hybrid schedule in Los Angeles or Woodland Hills, California, along with strong benefits, substantial bonus potential, profit sharing, and a 5% employer 401(k) contribution.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for assigned clients.
- Review and approve complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure services support each client's financial and business objectives.
- Advise corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals on complex tax matters.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, train, and retain tax professionals.
- Participate in employee evaluations, promotions, compensation decisions, and workforce planning.
- Develop new business by expanding existing relationships, pursuing prospective clients, and cultivating referral sources.
- Maintain relationships with attorneys, bankers, investment professionals, and other centers of influence.
- Help establish and oversee professional training programs for tax personnel.
- Maintain technical expertise through continuing education, professional publications, and industry seminars.
- Support quality-control standards, operational improvements, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in leadership committees and practice-development initiatives.
- Approximately 10-15 years of progressive public accounting experience.
- Significant experience with corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
- Active CPA license.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business within a CPA environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with tax research, accounting, financial, and tax-preparation software.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop tax professionals.
- Excellent organizational, project-management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage complex engagements accurately and meet demanding deadlines.
- Commitment to completing at least 40 hours of continuing professional education annually.
- Hybrid schedule combining office-based and remote work.
- Position based in Los Angeles or Woodland Hills, California.
