Job Description & How to Apply Below

Calling all nonprofit finance people who love when the numbers actually tie out.

Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation is growing, and we’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri
.

This is a hands-on finance role for someone who knows how to keep the financial engine of a growing nonprofit running smoothly—and enjoys improving systems, processes, and reporting along the way.

What you’ll own day-to-day:
  • Accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Month-end and year-end close
  • Financial statements and budget-to-actual reporting
  • Grant accounting across multiple funding sources
  • Payroll accounting and financial administration
  • Quick Books and financial system integrity
  • Audit, Form 990, and compliance support
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow support
A few important requirements before you apply:
  • You must be based in the St. Louis area and able to work regularly from our St. Louis office. This is not a fully remote position. We believe there is real value in working together in person, while also providing built-in work-from-home flexibility as part of how our team operates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Nonprofit accounting experience is strongly preferred
, including knowledge of restricted/unrestricted funding, grant accounting, functional expense allocation, and nonprofit financial reporting.
  • Strong Quick Books and Excel skills are important.
  • You should be comfortable getting into the details — reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR, grants, financial reporting, and month-end close — while also understanding how those details connect to the bigger picture.

This role reports to our Finance & Compliance Director
.

We’re looking for someone organized, curious, collaborative, highly accurate, and who genuinely enjoys building strong financial operations behind meaningful work.

At OHHF, the numbers aren't just numbers. They help us understand what’s working, steward every dollar responsibly, and serve more children, adults, and families impacted by childhood-onset heart conditions.
