Ready for more than just closing the books?
Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager who wants to have a real voice in how an organization operates — not someone who simply inherits a process and keeps it running.
In this role, you’ll lead the month-end close, manage a team of two Staff Accountants, partner directly with senior finance leadership, and help improve the systems and processes behind the numbers.
If you're a Senior Accountant who has been thinking, "I'm ready to own more," this could be the opportunity you're looking for.
What Makes This Role Different?- Lead a team — Manage, mentor, and develop two Staff Accountants.
- Own the close — Take the lead on month-end close and financial reporting.
- Have a voice — Partner directly with the Assistant Controller and Controller on accounting strategy and process improvements.
- Make things better — Identify inefficient processes and have the autonomy to improve them.
- Get visibility — Work cross-functionally with operational teams, auditors, tax professionals, and senior leadership.
- Take on meaningful projects — You'll have the opportunity to contribute beyond the traditional accounting responsibilities.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Senior Accountant-level responsibilities.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with a multi-location organization; retail experience is a plus.
- Leadership or mentoring experience.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Experience with high-volume cash reconciliations.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
- Hybrid flexibility: Work from home up to one day per week.
- Leadership: Step into a true management role with direct reports.
- Visibility: Work closely with senior finance leadership and have a seat at the table.
- Impact: Your ideas and process improvements will actually be implemented.
- Growth: Expand beyond traditional accounting and gain broader exposure to the business.
