Accounts Payable Specialist

Remote Job Type: Full-Time Pay range: $48,000 – $54,000
Our client, a well-established and growing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys taking ownership of the full accounts payable process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of invoices and expense reports accurately and timely.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation, while reviewing and verifying invoice coding and approvals.
- Manage vendor accounts and respond to inquiries regarding payments and account status.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other departments to resolve payment-related issues.
Qualifications
- Previous Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume (100+ invoices a week) processing environment.
- Experience using an ERP or accounting System and comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
