We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee our client's day-to-day accounting operations in Simpsonville, SC with financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and related accounting functions.

Responsibilities
  • Own the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and related reporting.
  • Provide financial and accounting analysis, recommendations, and insights to support company strategy and decision-making.
  • Partner with departments across the organization to understand and coordinate financial needs.
  • Assist with the administration and renewal of company insurance policies and support financial and risk-related activities.
  • Lead the annual departmental budgeting and consolidation process.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, initiate corrective actions, and minimize the impact of unfavorable results.
  • Develop forecasts, report financial results, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting Team.
  • Oversee the procure-to-pay process.
  • Ensure inventory quantities are accurate and maintain the Company's internal costing structures.
  • Monitor and properly track in-transit inventory.
  • Support Corporate-owned locations with expense tracking and financial performance monitoring.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax preparers.
  • Coordinate audit requests and ensure PBC materials are provided accurately and on time.
  • Assist with preparation of the Company's annual Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
  • Prepare monthly management reports.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing for the Home Office and Corporate-owned sites.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting and financial analysis needs across the business.
  • Support the financial reporting needs of franchisees.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Interviewing and recommending candidates for hire.
  • Assigning work and providing guidance, coaching, and development.
  • Recommending promotions.
  • Conducting performance reviews.
  • Recommending disciplinary action when appropriate.

Requirements
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and financial skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems;
    Net Suite experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting for foreign currency transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including the ability to research accounting guidance and support audited financial statements, the Franchise Disclosure Document, and related documentation requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, and the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required; 7+ years preferred.
  • Experience managing accounting functions and supervising accounting staff is required.
