Location: Muscatine, IA. This is an on-site opportunity with a collaborative local team. During the busy season from January through April 15, regular in-office presence is expected; outside busy season, reduced hours and occasional work-from-home flexibility are available.
NoteMust have 3+ years of public accounting tax experience, individual and business tax return preparation/review experience, and a CPA, EA, or active progress toward one of these credentials.

Job Description- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
- Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, accounting, and business matters.
- Research tax issues and communicate practical recommendations to clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Prepare financial statements, projections, and other financial information for business clients.
- Support clients with accounting and Quick Books questions and issues.
- Represent clients before federal and state taxing authorities when needed.
- Review junior staff work and provide constructive guidance and feedback.
- Mentor and develop less-experienced accounting professionals.
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines, especially during tax season.
- Identify opportunities to expand client services and add value to relationships.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm.
- 3+ years of public accounting and tax preparation experience.
- Individual and business tax return preparation and review experience.
- CPA, EA, or actively pursuing a CPA or EA.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Tax planning and research experience.
- Strong accounting and financial statement knowledge.
- Proficiency with tax software, Microsoft Excel, and Quick Books.
- Strong communication, organization, and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take ownership.
- Willingness to mentor and develop junior team members.
