Senior Grants Accountant

Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is seeking a Senior Grants Accountant with experience managing NYC and New York State grants.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close process.
• Manage grant billing, invoicing, and reimbursement requests.
• Prepare and submit grant budgets and budget modifications for NYC and NYS grants.
• Reconcile grant accounts and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Partner with program teams to support financial reporting and audits.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of grants accounting experience.
• Experience with NYC and/or New York State grant billing and reporting.
• Strong background in month-end close, journal entries, grant billing, and budget submissions.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
