Senior Grants Accountant
Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is seeking a Senior Grants Accountant with experience managing NYC and New York State grants.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close process.
- Manage grant billing, invoicing, and reimbursement requests.
- Prepare and submit grant budgets and budget modifications for NYC and NYS grants.
- Reconcile grant accounts and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Partner with program teams to support financial reporting and audits.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of grants accounting experience.
- Experience with NYC and/or New York State grant billing and reporting.
- Strong background in month-end close, journal entries, grant billing, and budget submissions.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
