WHAT WE ARE SEEKINGWe have assignments available to help our Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier clients in Accounting Manager positions. Responsibilities may include:
- Lead day-to-day financial accounting activities, including premium, claims, reinsurance, and general ledger accounting, maintaining reliable and accurate financial records.
- Responsible for the month-end close activities including account reconciliations, financial adjustments, journal entries and financial statement preparation in accordance with general and statutory accounting principles (GAAP and STAT specifically Schedule P, and Schedule
F). - Coordinate required insurance regulatory reporting, ensuring financial statements, supporting schedules, and jurisdictional submissions are complete and delivered on time.
- Direct reinsurance financial administration, including cash settlements, balance recovery, reporting requirements and communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Evaluate accounting workflows and recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, reporting quality, and overall financial governance.
- Serve as a key resource during audits and regulatory reviews by coordinating supporting materials, addressing information requests, and promoting effective financial controls.
- 25 years of full-time work experience
- 10 most current years of Property & Casualty (P&C) carrier accounting operations experience with background in GAAP & STAT reporting
