Trust Accounting and Client Reporting Specialist

The Trust Accounting and Client Reporting Specialist is responsible for the processing and posting of client transactions including distributions, bill payments, gifts, as well as processing of client statements. This position exists to complete a range of services that are being offered to our clients. Integrity, discretion, attention to detail, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.

Primary

Responsibilities Include:

  • Process distributions and bill payments by disbursing funds via check, internal transfer, and ACH/wire
  • Process charitable and personal gifts as well as communicate with charities to facilitate the gift requests
  • Set up and maintain recurring remittances/disbursements to ensure payments are being processed in a timely manner
  • Assist with the processing, collating, and mailing of client statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Provide login support of new and existing users on client portal by answering client phone calls and emails, and assist with password resets and portal navigation
  • Ensure that all procedures are adhered to and updated accordingly as processes are changed or improved
  • Ability to analyze and interpret reports by organizing, processing, and exploring data and come to relevant conclusions
  • Serve as a backup for other areas within the team for coverage purposes
  • Carry out requests from Trustee teams
  • Perform projects and additional tasks as requested by the Manager

Qualifications and Skills Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years equivalent job experience in a professional services environment
  • Experience with FIS’ Add Vantage or other accounting system is highly preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work and communicate well with vendors and colleagues in the office
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to meet stringent deadlines
  • Highly detail-oriented and systematic processing capabilities
  • Proficient use of technology, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and respect for confidential information are absolutely critical
  • A team player with both a strong work ethic and a sense of “getting it right”
  • Ability to learn new concepts and computer applications within a complex and demanding environment
  • Willing and able to “own” the process and take responsibility for meeting challenging deadlines
  • A self-starter who is able to organize and confidently manage their workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Has a “can do” attitude, consistent with the expectations for everyone else in the office

Reporting & Classification:

This position will report to the Head of Trust Accounting and Client Reporting. This position is non-exempt and may necessitate flexibility in hours, from time to time, with little or no advance notice.

Work Location:

The Trust Accounting and Client Reporting Specialist position will be required to work from our Boston office three days per week, with the option to work remotely two days per week with manager approval. Remote work eligibility and in-office work requirements are subject to change and are evaluated as part of the firm’s Remote Workplace Program.
