Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly-organized, detail‑driven Staff Accountant for this newly created role supporting Vytal Health Partners (VHP). In this role, you will manage accurate financial records, prepare timely financial reports, and support compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations. This role will serve as a go-to resource for the accounting function, working confidently across teams and with other entities within the business.

Vytal Health Partners (VHP) is a growing organization affiliated with Vytalize Health, helping independent physicians offload administrative work so they can focus on patients. VHP is in an exciting growth stage, and now's a great time to join.
This is a remote position; candidates must be willing to work Eastern Time Zone business hours. Priority will be given to candidates based in Northern Ohio. Candidates based outside the area should expect occasional travel to Northern Ohio office.
What you will do:- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately.
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.
- Assist with tax preparation and related filings as needed.
- Perform additional accounting duties and projects as assigned.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Confident, independent operator who can serve as the go-to person for accounting matters, comfortable managing the function and interfacing with other teams and entities.
- Experience with modern accounting/ERP systems required (e.g. Net Suite, Sage, Quick Books Online);
Net Suite experience a plus. Should be quick to learn and navigate new systems. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Healthcare industry a plus.
- Must be willing to work Eastern Time Zone business hours, with approximately 10% travel to our Northern Ohio offices
