Senior Accountant – REMOTE

We are partnering with an innovative, private equity-backed digital health company seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing Accounting team. This is a high-visibility opportunity reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, with exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, audit and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, solid systems skills and an interest in leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve accounting processes.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the month-end close, including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare fluctuation analyses and ad hoc financial reporting for leadership
• Maintain internal control documentation related to the close and other accounting activities
• Partner across the organization to understand and account for complex transactions
• Perform technical accounting research and assist with accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes
• Work closely with external auditors to support timely completion of audits
• Coordinate with external tax professionals on provisions, returns and other tax matters
• Participate in cross-functional projects and other accounting initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Active CPA license or CPA exam parts passed required
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, general ledger accounting, reconciliations and month-end close
• Experience working with financial ERP systems;
  Net Suite is preferred but not required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Audit experience is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
