Accounting Supervisor

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected Central Texas organization to identify an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead revenue accounting operations and supervise a high-performing billing and cash applications team. This role offers a unique blend of accounting leadership, operational oversight, process improvement, and systems enhancement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in revenue accounting, billing operations, accounts receivable, and team leadership, along with the ability to collaborate across multiple business units and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the billing and payment applications team.
• Oversee the full revenue accounting cycle, including billing, payment processing, collections support, revenue recognition, and account reconciliations.
• Review billing transactions, accounting entries, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Troubleshoot system and process issues while partnering with internal stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiencies.
• Communicate with business leaders regarding upcoming billing events, customer activity, and revenue-related transactions.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment.
• Support audits, month-end close activities, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Strong understanding of billing operations, revenue accounting, accounts receivable, collections, and revenue recognition.
• Experience reviewing accounting transactions and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license or active CPA candidate.
• Experience leading accounting process improvements and technology implementations.
• Prior experience supervising billing, revenue accounting, or shared services teams.
