Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year

Salary: $85k-$105k base salary + 10% bonus + Comprehensive Benefits + 401k with 5% Match

Our client is seeking a hands-on Sr. Property Accountant to support a retail property in El Cajon, CA. This is a backfill opportunity due to an internal transfer, offering strong mentoring support and opportunities for advancement. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant looking to grow within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

• Perform day-to-day property accounting activities in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare monthly financials and reforecasts
• Manage cash posting and reconciliations
• Prepare budgets and CAM/pass-through reconciliations
• Oversee the Accounting Assistant
• Partner with property management and corporate accounting teams

• 5+ years Commercial or Retail Property Accounting experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar + 2–3 years Commercial Property Accounting experience

• Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUPs
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Budget preparation experience

• MRI (preferred) or Yardi

Retail property accounting experience is not required. Open to candidates from other commercial property types; just not residential property.
