The Client:
Our client is one of the Philadelphia area's fastest-growing companies for the past 10-years. This is a privately held company which has tripled it's revenue in the past 5-years, and is in the middle of explosive growth. Global manufacturing business with a fantastic corporate culture and excellent benefits. The ownership is expanding their operations and will soon open up a new facility vertically integrating the manufacturing of a key raw material through a joint venture deal.
This will greatly reduce their raw material costs and give our client more control over the quality of their materials.

Summary:The CFO is looking for a career-minded Accountant that wants to be Controller in a short period of time. This is not an opportunity for the candidate that wants to work-from-home and turn-off their computer at 5:00 p.m. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, who wants to be challenged, who wants to obtain the skills and experience needed to be a Controller for a $300-400M complex entity.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for building standardization and consistency around the monthly financial close and financial reporting process.
- Ensure the accuracy of the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows.
- The Senior Accountat will oversee the transactional accounting team ensuring that transactions are hitting the GL correctly for AP, AR and Payroll.
- Technical Accounting: staying up to date with recent changes to GAAP impacting revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and exposure to joint ventures.
- Train and develop transactional accounting team
- Work closely with CFO and Corporate Senior Leadership during monthly and quarterly financial review meetings – analyzing financial results, cost drivers, monitoring inventory levels, and budget-to-actual variances.
- Provide senior management team with flash reports, KPIs, and other financial metrics as requested
- 2-4 years public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- 1-2 years of experience performing the accounting close and financial reporting process for a for-profit organization
- Willing to stretch beyond a narrow job description and take ownership of problems through completion.
- More interested in gaining meaningful experience and making an impact than simply maintaining a comfortable routine.
- Receptive to coaching, constructive feedback, and increasing levels of responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience streamlining the financial close processes, ensuring proper controls, and accurate reporting and compliance
