Accounting Clerk - Remote NC or SC

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. MGC offers a dynamic workplace and long-term career opportunities for candidates motivated to achieve excellence. Candidates with an Associates degree and at least one year of accounting/bookkeeping experience are encouraged to apply. This position will be based out of our Columbia, SC office and is eligible for a remote work arrangement after the training period (will train in-office for the first week or two).

• Handle accounting/bookkeeping duties: to include banking, general ledger bookkeeping, financial statement preparation and analysis
• Research, track, and resolve accounting problems
• Approve ACH and Positive Pay Exceptions
• Reconcile bank accounts

• High school diploma required;
  Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in Business or Accounting preferred
• Basic understanding of Bank Reconciliations, Debits and Credits
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles
