Our client is a growing technology company in Los Angeles that is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, growing environment and wants to take ownership of payroll operations while partnering closely with Accounting, HR, and other internal teams.
The OpportunityAs a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will play an important role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You’ll have the opportunity to work across payroll operations, reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and process improvement while supporting a growing organization.
What You’ll Do- Manage and oversee accurate and timely payroll processing
- Review payroll data and perform detailed payroll reconciliations
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Support multi-state payroll and payroll tax compliance
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll-related accounting activities
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Accounting on payroll-related matters
- Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and related reporting
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and efficiencies
- Support audits and ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations
- Assist with special payroll projects and other responsibilities as the company continues to grow
- 3+ years of experience in a Payroll Analyst or similar payroll-focused role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, reconciliations, and payroll compliance
- Experience working with multi-state payroll is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience with a major payroll/HCM system preferred
