Salary: $130,000 - $145,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and highly motivated Accounting Director to join our rapidly growing organization. This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while being part of a dynamic team based out of 20 location around the US, headquartered out of New York City. The Accounting Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with ASC 842, Net Suite, General Ledger, and other relevant laws and regulations

- Oversee and manage all general ledger activities including but not limited to, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 842, lease accounting, and lease query requirements.
- Implement and maintain the Net Suite system across the organization.
- Manage the preparation and submission of all financial reports, including the Form 990.
- Oversee and manage payroll, tax, and investment functions.
- Provide strategic guidance on revenue recognition, operational accounting, and technical accounting issues.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit.
- Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership and support to accounts payable and receivable departments.
- Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Solid Hands on experience in operational accounting Required, technical accounting experience is a plus
- Knowledge of ASC 842, lease accounting, lease query, Net Suite, General Ledger, and other accounting principles and procedures is a plus
- Experience with financial reporting, including Form 990, tax, investment, and payroll is a plus
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to accounting and finance.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
