Vertical Talent Group is a fast-growing talent management agency representing leading creators across food and pets. We manage partnerships between creators, brands, and agencies—from negotiation through content delivery and payment.
The RoleWe’re hiring a highly organized Talent Payments Coordinator to manage invoicing, collections, and creator-payment administration across our partnerships.
You will ensure invoices are accurate, submitted correctly, tracked, collected, and reconciled. You will maintain a clear view of every outstanding payment and proactively resolve delays.
This is an entry-level role for someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented, persistent, comfortable with numbers, and confident communicating with partners.
Responsibilities- Prepare and issue accurate invoices based on executed agreements
- Confirm invoicing requirements, payment terms, billing contacts, and purchase-order information
- Submit invoices through brand and agency payment platforms
- Register Vertical Talent Group as a vendor with new partners
- Maintain vendor profiles, tax forms, and payment information
- Track every invoice from submission through payment
- Maintain an accurate accounts-receivable report
- Follow up with brands and agencies before and after invoices become overdue
- Investigate missing, delayed, partial, or incorrectly applied payments
- Reconcile incoming payments against invoices and individual brand deals
- Calculate talent payouts and agency commissions
- Prepare creator payment reports for internal review
- Coordinate approved talent payouts and confirm completion
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, remittances, fees, and payouts
- Keep agents and coordinators informed about payment status
- Escalate overdue balances and payment discrepancies
- Help improve invoicing, collection, and payout processes as the agency grows
- 0–2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, payroll, finance, or administrative operations
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
- Excellent organization and follow-through
- Clear, professional written communication
- Confidence following up persistently with external partners
- Ability to manage a large number of transactions and deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
- Availability throughout standard New York working hours
- Experience with Quick Books or another accounting platform
- Familiarity with payment and vendor portals
- Experience reconciling payments or calculating commissions
This is a fully remote position, but you must be consistently available during New York business hours. You will work closely with our operations and talent-management teams and will handle information that directly affects our creators and business partners.

Compensation: $23–$25 per hour, depending on experience
