Auditor 1/Trainee with the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) performs General IT and IT Access audits under the supervision of an Auditor
2. Responsibilities include planning and executing audits, analyzing data, testing controls, developing work papers, and assessing IT processes for risks. The position is based in Albany, NY and offers a hybrid telecommuting schedule of up to 50% remote work.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, or taxation, or bachelor's degree with 24 semester credit hours in accounting/auditing/taxation courses
- Two years of professional experience in accounting/auditing or financial internal/field auditing (or master's degree with one year experience, or CPA license)
- Experience with design and review of accounting systems and financial statement preparation
- Ability to perform full scope IT and IT Access audits
- Strong analytical and documentation skills for audit work papers and findings
