Global Payroll & Books Specialist - Remote, ESOP Eligible

You will own the end-to-end bookkeeping lifecycle, manage multi-country accounting platforms, ensure compliance, and keep our financial operations running at peak efficiency.

1. Core Financial Operations (AP & AR)

• Accounts Payable: Seamlessly process vendor bills and supplier invoices; strictly verify all incoming invoices against Purchase Orders (POs).
• Accounts Receivable: Manage, track, and follow up on client payments, ensuring all incoming revenue is recorded accurately.
• Cash Flow Management: Perform daily bank reconciliations, verify corporate expenses, and track cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity.

2. Multi-Country Payroll & Compliance

• Payroll Coordination: Collate and coordinate regional payroll inputs, validate employee reimbursements, and assist with statutory and tax deductions.
• Tax & Audit Support: Coordinate directly with Chartered Accountants (CAs) and external auditors. Provide hands-on support for monthly/quarterly GST and TDS filings, keeping all documentation meticulously audit-ready.

3. Reporting & Financial Controlling

• Month-End Closing: Manage monthly closing activities, track global revenue/expenses, and reconcile multi-currency statements.
• Management Reporting: Prepare clear weekly financial health reports and assist the leadership team with annual budget tracking and forecasting.

You will be the absolute owner of our financial technology ecosystem across our operating regions:

• Australia (AU) & Singapore (SG): Dedicated management and reconciliation utilizing Xero.
• India (IN): Comprehensive administration via the Zoho suite specifically Zoho Books, Zoho Expenses, and Zoho Payroll.
• Global Systems: Day-to-day management of multi-country payment gateways and automated finance tracking tools.

You Might Be a Fit If (Requirements)

• The Experience: 3+ years of hands-on corporate bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup or a global tech consulting environment.
• Multi-Country DNA: Proven understanding of multi-country operations, multi-currency conversions, and localized payment gateways.
• Software Fluency: Expert-level proficiency in Xero and the Zoho Books/Expenses/Payroll ecosystem is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Compliance Knowledge: Sound conceptual understanding of tax structures like GST (India/Singapore), BAS (Australia), and TDS regulations.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and clear English communication skills to coordinate with cross-regional teams and auditors.
