We are sharing a part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Tax Advisors with an active CPA licence and strong expertise in U.S. individual and small-business tax preparation, filing, tax advisory, rubric development, and AI-output evaluation to contribute to an advanced tax-focused AI training project.
Selected professionals will prepare and review U.S. tax returns, advise on tax optimisation strategies, evaluate AI-generated tax guidance against structured criteria, and contribute to the development of high-quality tax rubrics and evaluation standards. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities Individual & Small-Business Tax Preparation- Prepare and review personal income tax returns, including Form 1040
- Handle small-business filings such as Schedule C
- Review S-Corporation returns using Form 1120-S
- Work with partnership returns using Form 1065
- Ensure filings are accurate and aligned with current tax requirements
- Advise on appropriate tax optimisation strategies
- Explain complex tax concepts in clear and practical language
- Help clarify filing requirements, deadlines, and documentation needs
- Support questions involving filing status and required forms
- Apply sound professional judgement across varied tax scenarios
- Review AI-generated tax advice and tax-related content
- Assess outputs against established rubrics and evaluation criteria
- Identify factual errors, missing considerations, or weak reasoning
- Provide concise written feedback to improve model performance
- Apply professional tax judgement to ambiguous or complex outputs
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of tax-related rubrics
- Define grading criteria for tax advice and tax-preparation outputs
- Help establish clear standards for accurate and useful tax responses
- Translate professional tax expertise into structured evaluation criteria
- Support consistency across repeated review assignments
- Verify tax documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Identify missing information that could affect filing outcomes
- Review returns and supporting materials for compliance concerns
- Maintain awareness of relevant federal and state tax requirements
- Apply strong attention to detail across all review tasks
- Stay current with changes in federal tax rules
- Maintain knowledge of at least one state's income tax requirements
- Apply updated tax law to client and project scenarios
- Identify changes that may affect filing or advisory conclusions
- Incorporate current requirements into evaluation and review work
- Active CPA licence in good standing
- Eligible to practise in the United States
- 5+ years of professional tax preparation or tax advisory experience
- Extensive experience preparing and filing individual tax returns
- Strong experience with small-business tax returns
- Familiarity with Form 1040, Schedule C, Form 1120-S, and Form 1065
- Strong knowledge of current federal tax regulations
- Working knowledge of at least one state's income tax requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical tax concepts clearly to varied audiences
- Strong attention to detail and professional judgement
- Experience creating rubrics, grading criteria, or assessment guidelines is advantageous
- Familiarity with AI model evaluation, red-teaming, RLHF, or machine-generated content review is beneficial but not required
- Experience with professional tax software such as Pro Series, Lacerte, or Drake is advantageous
- No prior AI-training experience is required
- Part-time independent contractor engagement

-based professionals only - Compensation: $80–$110/hour
- Work will involve tax preparation, tax filing, advisory support, AI-output evaluation, rubric development, and compliance review
- Strong U.S. tax expertise and CPA credentials are central to this engagement
- Assignments may involve both individual and small-business tax scenarios
- Project scope, workload, evaluation criteria, and tax topics may evolve depending on project requirements
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
