Tax Manager – Remote
Location: 100% Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Public Accounting / CPA Firm
Our client firm that is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager to its team. This is a fully remote position with responsibility for tax preparation, review, client service, and tax planning.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Review 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns
- Work directly with clients on tax planning, compliance, and questions
- Review tax work prepared by staff and senior accountants
- Assist with more complex tax issues and research
- Manage multiple client engagements and meet tax deadlines
- Provide guidance and technical support to staff
- Communicate with clients throughout the year, not just during tax season
- Identify tax planning opportunities and assist with estimated tax projections
- Stay current with federal and state tax developments
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Previous tax review experience
- Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
- Experience with 1040, 1065, 1120, and/or 1120S returns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with tax software and Microsoft Excel
