Payroll / Staff Accountant (Bilingual Japanese/English)

Seeking a bilingual (Japanese/English) professional to handle payroll and individual income tax tasks for clients. The position is based in New Jersey, with remote work considered. Responsibilities include preparing 1040 tax forms, client communication, and supporting overall payroll and accounting processes. Full-time (40 hours/week) preferred.

• Perform payroll processing and individual income tax support (including 1040 forms)
• Communicate with clients in Japanese and English
• Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and service quality
• Assist in onboarding new employees and providing initial training
• Participate in team meetings and share updates
• Recommend process improvements based on regulatory and tax updates

• 40 hours/week (minimum 30 hours, full-time preferred)
• Remote work considered

• New Jersey, USA (Remote candidates considered)

• $59,000 – $65,000/year

• Weekends and public holidays

• Accounting degree required for Staff Accountant role
• Relevant payroll/accounting experience preferred for Paraprofessional role
• Experience preparing 1040 tax forms
• Bilingual in Japanese and English
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment
