Senior Tax Manager

Remote senior tax jobs tend to come with a catch. It's a compliance factory, or the pay's light, or remote turns out to mean 3 days in the office.

I can't find the catch on this one. A California firm with a consulting led tax practice wants a senior tax manager. Fully remote, $150,000 to $190,000, serving clients across California and the rest of the country. You do need to live in California.

The work goes well past returns. Planning, research, M&A activity and transfer pricing are all in the description, alongside the compliance and the review.

• $150,000 to $190,000, fully remote
• A mix of consulting and compliance, with M&A and transfer pricing in it

• The honest bit: there's occasional travel for staff retreats, client meetings and continuing education

• Advising clients across planning, research, compliance, M&A and transfer pricing
• Expert level review, and preparing the projections that sit behind the planning
• Researching the awkward issues properly
• Supervising and training staff and teams across client projects

• CPA, required
• 7 years or more in tax, with 2 or more already at senior tax manager level
• An accounting degree, or an MSA or MST
