Part-Time Staff Accountant

Location: Onsite with 1 work-from-home day per week during active work weeks
Schedule: Part-time - approximately 2 weeks per month
Start Date: Within 1-2 weeks

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Staff Accountant to provide general ledger and month-end accounting support. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who wants a flexible schedule while continuing to utilize their accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Provide month-end close support during approximately two weeks each month, typically during the last/first or first/second week of the month.
Prepare and post basic general ledger journal entries and maintain related account reconciliations.
Perform bank and account reconciliations
, research discrepancies, and ensure accounts are properly supported.
Manage prepaid expense schedules and record monthly amortization entries.
Maintain fixed asset activity
, including additions and related accounting entries.
Prepare and post recurring accruals and standard monthly entries
, including fixed monthly expenses.
Assist with general accounting activities and other month-end projects as needed.

Qualifications

Solid general ledger accounting experience with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Experience with
journal entries and account reconciliations

Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines during month-end close.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to quickly step into an established accounting process.
