Description Remote Tax Preparer – Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Overview
Remote Tax Preparer - Polished Talent Group is seeking Remote Tax Preparers to assist clients with the preparation of individual federal and state income tax returns.
This is a remote, commission-based position with full-time and part-time opportunities available. Prior tax preparation experience is preferred but not required. Candidates without prior experience must successfully complete required tax preparation training before preparing client returns.
Tax Preparers are responsible for accurately preparing tax returns, reviewing client-provided documentation, communicating with clients regarding required information, and maintaining taxpayer confidentiality.
Responsibilities

• Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns
• Collect and review client-provided tax documents
• Enter tax information accurately into professional tax preparation software
• Review completed returns for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with clients regarding missing or additional documentation
• Maintain organized and accurate client records
• Protect confidential taxpayer and financial information
• Follow applicable IRS requirements and due diligence standards
• Complete required training and compliance requirements
• Maintain professional communication with clients and team members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
• Previous tax preparation or financial services experience is a plus but not required
• Must have an active IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) or be willing to obtain one before preparing tax returns
• Must successfully complete required tax preparation training before preparing client returns

Compensation
This is a commission-based position. Compensation is based on completed tax preparation services in accordance with the compensation structure provided during the hiring process.
Work Schedule
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Work is performed remotely, and scheduling requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
