About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team on a fully remote basis. This position is responsible for processing all vendor invoices accurately and ensuring timely payments, thereby maintaining positive supplier relationships and controlling company expenditures. You will manage the entire accounts payable cycle, including invoice verification, data entry, payment processing, and reconciliation.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, possesses strong data entry skills, and can manage workload effectively in a virtual environment. - Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Enter invoice data into the accounting system and prepare payments via EFT or other methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all accounts payable documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP Business One) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
