** About the Role
** Health Advocate is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Cash Applications Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for accurately applying cash payments to open receivables, researching and resolving payment discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and maintaining documentation while ensuring a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
** What You'll Do
*** Process and apply cash payments to open accounts receivable with a high degree of accuracy
* Utilize third-party payment software to ensure payments are processed daily
* Research and resolve payments that are received without posting instructions
* Reconcile accounts receivable batches to bank deposits
* Contact customers regarding payment discrepancies when needed
* Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the Accounts Receivable mailbox
* Process refunds and returned payments while coordinating with clients as necessary
* Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure deadlines are met
* Perform additional related duties as assigned

** Minimum Qualifications
*** Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field required
* At least one year of Accounts Receivable cash application experience preferred
* Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
