Medcost Contain LLC is looking for a detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper (Accountant) to join our team. This position is an entry-level bookkeeper position. Job consists of data entry, preparing reports, reviewing data for accuracy and supporting the Accounting Team in various tasks.
This job is fully remote and includes about fifteen to twenty-five hours of work per week. Candidate needs a desktop or laptop computer and two monitors.
- Data entry in desktop Quick Books for multiple entities
- Prepare and review weekly reports
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Prepare and review journal entries and financial reports
- Support bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Positive attitude to help with any miscellaneous tasks
- Dedication and determination to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines
- College degree is NOT required
- 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books)
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented demeanor
