Tax Supervisor

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Supervisor to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities Execute preparation, review, and filing of tax returns ranging from straightforward to highly complex engagements

Facilitate communication with clients and taxing authorities while delivering strategic tax guidance

Inspect tax filings and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy and completeness

Formulate proactive tax planning strategies aligned with client objectives

Assess client financial information to enhance reporting positions and optimize outcomes

Track legislative updates and regulatory developments impacting tax compliance

Uphold adherence to applicable federal, state, and local tax requirements

Develop junior professionals through coaching, technical review, and ongoing mentorship

Coordinate multiple assignments within active engagements to meet deadlines and quality standards

Report project status and emerging client matters to senior leadership

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related5-7 years of experience as a tax preparer or similar role Knowledge of government tax laws Effective written and verbal communication skills

Solid analytical and research skills

Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Proven ability to handle confidential informationCPA preferred
