IT Support Specialist

Role overview

A remote opportunity for an experienced accountant to take ownership of core accounting operations within a growing finance function. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and continuously improving accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage the full accounting cycle including account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing
• Review company expenditures, confirm proper allocation across departments, and report findings to stakeholders
• Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and internal policies, including correct revenue recognition treatment
• Build financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow changes) and contribute to budget variance analysis
• Assist with annual budget design and preparation of year-end tax return schedules
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting or auditing experience for Staff level, or 5-8 years for Senior level, with public accounting exposure preferred
• Thorough knowledge of financial statement preparation, GAAP, and revenue recognition
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate financial information for non-finance audiences
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience with cloud or on-premise accounting systems such as Net Suite, Intacct, or Quick Books
