• Oversee accounting operations including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing
• Analyze expenditures and verify correct allocation of expenses to departments, with reporting back to those departments
• Ensure transactions are treated in line with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Analyze billing transactions to confirm proper revenue recognition
• Review general ledger accounts and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
• Help build financial statements and budget variance analyses, contribute to budget preparation, prepare year-end tax schedules, and identify accounting process improvements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
• Three to five years of accounting or auditing experience for Staff level, or five to eight years for Senior level; public accounting exposure preferred
• Thorough command of financial statement preparation, GAAP, and revenue recognition
• Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to convey financial information to varied audiences
• Advanced Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Net Suite, Intacct, or Quick Books
• Organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can prioritize across multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Remote position. The posted salary range is $65,000 to $85,000, set based on Chicago market data. Total rewards include medical and ancillary benefits, potential annual bonus, work-from-home stipend, flexible paid time off, and an annual professional development stipend.
