Overview

Our firm is partnering with a well-established construction contractor supporting large-scale projects in the energy and infrastructure space to identify a Construction Administrative Assistant for a temporary maternity leave coverage assignment in Avon, MN. This role plays a key part in supporting construction project kickoff activities by providing administrative coordination, meeting support, and travel assistance in a fast-paced project environment.

Job Description

The Construction Administrative Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and coordination support to construction project teams, with a strong focus on kickoff meetings and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities
  • Providing administrative support for construction kickoff meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and assisting with system setup
  • Coordinating and booking travel arrangements for project personnel
  • Serving as a central point of communication to support coordination across project teams
  • Maintaining documentation, organizing files, and supporting general administrative tasks
  • Assisting with data entry, follow-ups, and meeting facilitation activities
  • Working onsite during weekly kickoff meetings and providing remote support on designated work-from-home days
  • Offering flexibility to work occasional overtime on kickoff meeting days (typically once per week)
Qualifications

Required:

  • Prior administrative or office support experience
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing needs in a construction or operations environment

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting construction, project, or operational teams
  • Familiarity with Procore or Concur (helpful but not required)
