Arch Street Meeting House Preservation Trust (ASMHPT) seeks a Visitor Services Associate to provide visitor services and operations assistance at Arch Street Meeting House.
This is a weekend seasonal (roughly 12 hours per week) hourly and nonexempt position. This position reports to the Education & Museum Manager of ASMHPT. Pay rate is $20.00/hr this is a seasonal position with in-person hours on Saturday and remote hours on weekdays to maintain email correspondence ahead of Saturdays.
Schedule:
Generally, Saturdays 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (with an unpaid lunch break), with flexibility needed on Saturday evenings based on operating schedule. Roughly additional 5 hours of remote work per week.

- Assist rental groups with property access and building systems, enforcing site protocols, answering questions throughout rental period including setup and breakdown responsibilities.
- Show the property to potential renters and coordinate follow-up and next steps with the Education & Museum Manager via email.
- As the face of the museum on Saturdays, greet all visitors, individuals and groups, when they arrive at the meetinghouse and respond to inquiries related to the building's history.
- Process visitor entry fee transactions and gift shop sales.
- Assist with special programs as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A GED, bachelor’s degree or demonstrated professional experience.
- Organization, time management, problem solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Front‑line customer service experience, including working with a POS system and engaging face‑to‑face with the general public.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills, including experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with field trips, schools or students.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
- Catering, restaurant or other service industry experience.
