We are currently seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant with strong written communication skills and experience supporting admin and e-commerce functions. You will work closely with the client to ensure smooth operational support across billing, vendor communication, and customer engagement.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Working Hours: This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9 am to 6 pm EST (16h00 to 01h00 South African time - subject to change in accordance with daylight savings in the United States).
- Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
- Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
- Work Environment: This is a fully remote working role.
- Public Holidays: You will be required to work on all South African public holidays (compensated as per BCEA).
- Downloading, entering, and saving invoices and bills accurately
- Communicating with vendors regarding billing queries and discrepancies
- Responding to customer inquiries via website email and live chat
- Creating and updating basic graphics using Canva and Adobe Illustrator
- Supporting the online store and customer workflows on Shopify
- Assisting with additional administrative tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant role.
- Hands-on experience with Canva and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong written communication skills and clear verbal communication.
- Comfortable with basic computer navigation, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Experience working with Shopify or similar platforms.
- Exposure to e-commerce environments (advantageous).
