Remote Data Entry Specialist (Full-Time)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Location: Fully Remote (must use personal computer)
About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Specialist to support incoming case volume for a growing client program. This position involves processing sensitive information, including Independent Medical Reviews, and accurately entering data into internal systems using Microsoft Word and Excel. You will play a key role in ensuring timely, accurate case movement through the workflow. This is an excellent long-term opportunity – many individuals hired in this role have gone on to secure permanent positions and even advance into team lead roles.
Responsibilities- Receive and process new case information from clients.
- Extract data from incoming forms and enter it into Microsoft Word or Excel.
- Convert documents to PDF, create tables, and organize case files as needed.
- Maintain accuracy and completeness across all data entry activities.
- Work collaboratively with a team, supporting additional case load when colleagues are out or volume is high.
- Handle sensitive information responsibly and in alignment with HIPAA expectations.
- Maintain productivity and reliability in a remote work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including creating/formatting documents, inserting tables, converting files to PDF.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (test will be given), including pivot tables, inserting and formatting columns.
- Basic awareness of HIPAA and handling confidential data.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Reliable and dependable work approach.
- Ability to work well on a team and take on additional tasks as needed.
- Fully remote role – must use your own computer.
- Company provides access to required applications and a phone.
- Must have reliable private internet (public WiFi is not permitted due to sensitive data).
- Download speed must exceed 20 Mbps (take test at ).
- Must be comfortable working with confidential information in a secure, quiet environment.
- Strong track record of contractors converting to permanent roles.
- Several past hires have advanced into leadership positions.
- Supportive management team with excellent communication – you won’t get “lost in the shuffle.”
- Positive feedback from recent team members.
- Expansion of services due to new client onboarding and increased case volume.
This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
