The Arizona Supreme Court Clerk’s Office is looking for an organized, motivated, team-oriented individual with experience in appellate court case processing. As the highest state court, the Supreme Court has discretionary jurisdiction and processes approximately 1,100 cases annually. The Supreme Court Clerk’s office staff receives the majority of the filings via eFiling and completes case processing in an automated case management system.
The work is detailed, and accuracy is critical.
Under the direction of the Court Operations Manager and the Clerk of the Court, this position’s responsibilities include staffing the office’s public lobby from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, assisting the court’s internal and external customers in person, by telephone, and by email; preparing receipts; maintaining the court’s records; and performing other court-related functions.

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED, experience working in a court or other similar environment. This position also requires the ability to effectively organize, manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, proficiency in front‑counter customer assistance skills such as receiving documents, conducting financial transactions, and responding appropriately to questions. Must have the ability to problem‑solve, work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines, and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
In addition, this position must be able to effectively use various office technology such as scanners, web‑based applications, and MS Office Suite products in performing work duties.
