Description of WorkThe Clerical Assistant 2 will provide clerical support for the environmental protection programs headquartered in the California District Office in Coal Center, Pennsylvania. These programs include District Mining Operations, Mine Subsidence Insurance, Clean Water, Safe Drinking Water, Waste Management, and Oil and Gas Management. This position serves as the primary receptionist for the office, requiring a thorough knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
WorkSchedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am–4:00pm with a 30‑minute lunch break.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time (up to one day per week after the probation period) if you have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location in Pennsylvania. If you cannot telework, you may report to the headquarters office in Coal Center, PA. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes). - Further communication regarding this position will be via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders.
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title),

* or* - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
