Overview

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Part‑time Administrative Associate.

• PT 0.6 Day Shift, working from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Friday, and every other weekend.

• The Administrative Associate is responsible for various administrative and operational tasks, including clerical support, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
• Serves as first point of contact for patients, family members, and visitors on the assigned unit, applying excellent customer‑service skills.
• Collaborates with medical staff, management, and patients to ensure the delivery of high‑quality care.

• High School Graduate or Equivalent Required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.

• Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• One year of experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Completion of a healthcare‑related certificate program is preferred.
• Transferable skills (e.g., one year or more in a call center, customer‑service application program, or clerical) preferred.
