Position: Grant Specialist II (Remote) - Department of Medicine

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Manage pre-award duties in line with specific proposal guidelines and terms
  • Collaborate with faculty on proposal preparation, budgeting, and submission
  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, department administrators, and sponsors
  • Ensure compliance with federal and university regulations regarding research administration
  • Oversee grant closeout processes and submission of final reports to appropriate agencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in grant administration
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Knowledge of Research Management Systems (RMS) and SUBS
  • Familiarity with agency guidelines related to grant submission and management
  • Experience with financial reporting and budget management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
