Agape Homes Program Assistant - Part-Time

Agape Homes CDC is building 100 new homes in the OST/South Union neighborhood. We aim to serve families below 120% AMI by offering homes at our cost. The purpose of the program is to provide affordable housing for neighbors connected to the OST/South Union neighborhood that have been or are at risk for being displaced as housing costs rise in our community.

The Agape Homes Program Assistant is responsible for recruiting new applicants from the neighborhood and helping applicants meet the program requirements for the program. This position is a Part‑Time hourly position reporting to the Housing Program Manager.

• Recruit new applicants from the neighborhood – making cold calls to neighbors; making warm calls to program participants; canvassing homes, churches, and businesses in neighborhood.
• Inputting data into Excel spreadsheets.
• Case management of applicants helping them move through the program – improve credit; make budget; ensure up to date on taxes; verify qualifications met.
• Facilitate housing meetings where an expert might come in or show up virtually to provide instruction on some aspect of buyer readiness or home ownership.

The schedule is hybrid with flexible hours. We work each day Monday‑Friday, typically 9 AM‑5 PM but times can be adjusted as long as 25 hours are met each week. Wednesday evenings required about 1 × / month. Occasional weekends, 4 × / year.

• Some college OR 1 year of case management experience.
• Ability to use computer, cell phone/tablet applications with limited training.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Must be organized, detail oriented, self‑motivated, and able to multi‑task.
