FORUMFOR COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS
The Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions was launched in 2012 in response to the social challenges affecting people in need. A cross‑sector leadership group convened by the White House Council on Community Solutions examined this situation, and released several seminal reports that served to launch the Forum for Community Solutions at the Aspen Institute. ABOUT THIS ROLEThe Forum for Community Solutions (FCS) is seeking a highly organized, mission‑aligned Program Coordinator to provide administrative support for our work in Texas and across the Belonging, Meaning, Wellbeing & Purpose (BMWP) portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings care and attention to detail, and enjoys helping teams and partners move their work forward with clarity and ease.
The Program Coordinator will support meeting logistics, calendaring, partner communication and simple project promotion through social media, and the processing of payments, contracts, honoraria, and reimbursements. This person will be a key contributor to creating smooth, reliable administrative and operational systems that help our team manage projects and center relationships, belonging, and community impact across multiple bodies of work and time zones.
This position reports directly to the Director, Texas Opportunity Youth Network. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $60,000 per year, contingent upon experience. This is a remote term‑limited position set to end after a year, with the possibility for extension pending funding and manager approval.
Work Location ExpectationsThis position is 100% remote; however, the job requires the following:
- Attendance at Aspen Forum for Community Solutions Team retreats in Washington DC (typically once a year).
- Attendance at Opportunity Youth Forum convenings at various locations nationwide (typically twice a year).
- Attendance at program specific convening or events (Texas Opportunity Youth Network and Belonging, Meaning, Wellbeing and Purpose programs).
- Ability to work across Central and Pacific time zones.
- Schedule, coordinate, and support virtual and in‑person meetings, workshops, and partner convenings.
- Prepare meeting materials, agendas, slide decks, and follow‑up summaries and provide tech assistance and program support during meetings.
- Support facilitation teams by tracking next steps, sending reminders, and maintaining project timelines.
- Assist with communications and coordination among youth‑serving organizations, funders, and national partners.
- Create and manage meeting requests, prep time and debriefing sessions across multiple calendars, including program leads.
- Provide administrative support for planning and executing events and convenings.
- Maintain organized digital files, documents, and partner records on shared server.
- Support grant proposal and report writing for program management.
- Process invoices, reimbursements, honoraria, and vendor payments.
- Assist with drafting and routing contracts, amendments, and grant‑related documentation.
