LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Senior Legal Assistant for our client in Seattle, WA. This is a direct hire opportunity with the option to work from home 2 days per week after 90 days. The Senior Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative support including preparation of client billing, database/file management, maintaining calendars, arranging domestic and international travel, and performing court filings in state and federal courts. This role requires 3+ years of experience and excellent administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support
- Edit and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Prepare documents for court filings for Washington and California state courts and federal courts
- Manage attorney calendars and keep apprised of approaching litigation deadlines
- Maintain digital files and ensure compliance with firm procedures
- Schedule meetings
- Prepare monthly client bills
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements
- Assist with time and expense entry
- Maintain correspondence and documents in document management system
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience required as a legal practice assistant, executive assistant, or administrative assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Certificate or degree from business school preferred - Washington state filing experience and California litigation experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of court rules, bankruptcy processes, and litigation procedures
- Excellent communication skills and professional manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
- Salary: $85,000 - $105,000
