Salary: The salary range for this position is $45,877.84 to $69,484.11 for Schedule A, and $45,877.84 to $62,203.88 for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
The Hudson Vicinage is seeking applicants interested in performing a variety of clerical, administrative, and other support functions in connection with proceedings instituted before courts or programs administered under the supervision of the courts, in support of the business operations of such courts, and as contact representatives for clients and customers or users of the services provided by the New Jersey Courts.
ResponsibilitiesThe Judiciary Clerk 3 and Judiciary Clerk 3 Bilingual position may require work in an on‑site or virtual courtroom. Employees in these titles may function as a court clerk, performing related work including, but not limited to:
- Preparing, calling and annotating the court calendar
- Providing customer service to jurors and court users in both English and Spanish languages
- Answering questions posed by judges, the public, clients, customers, coworkers, and supervisors in a physical or virtual environment
- Providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers in person, over the phone, and via written communications
- Identifying customer needs and conducting appropriate research
- Answering questions and composing routine correspondence in a physical or virtual environment
- Swearing in jurors and administering oaths to witnesses
- Maintaining custody of exhibits
- Operating a cash register; recording cash transactions; calculating rates, costs, fees, taxes or other amounts consistent with schedules, formulas and other established procedures; collecting and/or recording fees or costs as directed by the court
- Operating digital recording systems accurately
- Compiling and providing data, statistical information and reports
- Resolving technical issues; recording and maintaining records of court proceedings; ensuring timely date entry and maintenance of information into record‑keeping systems; completing court‑related paperwork; updating case information; and discussing daily court activities, scheduling of cases, calling of calendar, etc., with the Judge
- Performing other related duties as required
