the Role
The Claims Education Specialist will be an office-based position that will work closely with the Director of Claims Training (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). all aspects of Claims Department training and development functions, including but not limited to in-person and virtual presentations, development of curriculum, coordination of travel and meetings, and involvement with the claims audit function.
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree from an accredited college (CPCU, AIC, or similar designations preferred), or comparable business background.
Experience teaching or training others.
A minimum of two years of experience in property and casualty claims is preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional design software.
Passion for education of self and others.
Aptitude and desire to teach in a classroom or virtual setting.
Self-motivated and innovative nature.
Location and CommitmentsFull-time role based at our Corporate Office in Raleigh, NC 27612.
Hybrid schedule available after 6 months of employment according to company policy.
Maintain a North Carolina Adjuster License in good standing.
Willingness to travel, including overnight, as needed.
Responsibilities of the RoleCreate relevant and timely curriculum for in-person, virtual, and Learning Management System (LMS) instruction.
Organize and facilitate courses for both the home office and the District Claims Offices, as well as provide virtual education when required.
Organize and Maintain Claims Training Division documents and materials.
Support the monitoring of adjuster hiring, promotions, and designations for historical documentation and training objectives.
Ensure that the intracompany portal and resources are regularly updated.
