Our organization is hiring an Accounts Receivable Administrator based out of our Markham Office. The ideal candidate is highly organized, efficient and detail oriented. The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for maintaining a monthly cycle of duties as assigned with an emphasis on building successful internal and external relationships with both team members and tenants.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to all tenant related issues via phone/email promptly and courteously in a professional manner
  • Maintain tenant database, which includes, processing changes to residents, co-tenants, occupants, guarantors, PAP/Autopays
  • Ensuring all rent under the lease(s) are collected on time
  • Draft collection and default letters in accordance with specific terms of the lease(s)
  • Creating N4’s (Eviction Notices) and co-ordinating with Property Managers for Delivery
  • Creating N1’s (Increase Notices) and co-ordinating with Property Managers for Delivery
  • Send NSF & Chargeback letters to tenants each month
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports
  • Liaise with tenants and accounting regarding accounts receivable matters
  • Maintain a legal report for all units with cases open with the Landlord and Tenant Board
  • Submit a legal package to Paralegal for preparation of L1’s
  • Processing notices to vacate & ensuring N9’s are received in accordance with the lease(s), send vacate letters
  • Complete monthly close outs of files for past tenants and prepare cheque requisitions for refunds.
  • Prepare collection forms to issue to our legal department for any units being sent to collections.
  • Prepare Availability Reports for Property Managers & Leasing Co-ordinator before month end to ensure all leased units are up to date
  • Issue deposit interest yearly
  • Additional various duties as required
  • Create PO's and Coding for Invoices

To succeed in this role, you have

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • 1-2 years experience in property/accounts receivable administration
  • General accounting knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detailed with strong organizational skills and have the ability to multitask and prioritize day to day tasks and projects, must be flexible to react to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and residential lease agreements would be an asset
  • Proficient with Yardi

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 9am - 5pm

Remote:
Position is work from home one day per week post probation
